Tim Rogers & The Bamboos @ Womad, March ’13

Tim Rogers has certainly entertained many musical incarnations when not fronting You AM I, this latest one billed simply as Tim Rogers & The Bamboos fell totally flat and appeared only as a cash grab and a dismal attempt at potentially capturing an older audience.

It was embarrassing to watch as Mr Rogers paraded himself on stage with The Bamboos and after butchering a few You Am I numbers I heard a bunch of die hard You Am I fans next to me muttering “utterly disgraceful” as they left.

I couldn’t help but agree.
