The Elements @ The Crown n Sceptre, August ’09

The Elements layer a whole ensemble of sampled sounds, effects and vocal distortions onto a bed of solid funk. They play with a fun attitude, smiling a lot.

I don’t think I have ever seen a funk band with a scream like The Elements and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bass player with this many pedals before! Word on the street is that he never plays the same bass line twice?

Very basic lighting at the Crown N’ Sceptre, I almost shot with flash. Next time I may set up some stands with gels…
