Metallica on a straight stage, minus the props and all the extra hoo-haa that often goes with this band was a treat to see.
The set drew mainly from the first three albums: something a lot of fans were very happy about! Nothing from the dubious Load albums, nothing even from their current album!
It was a old school Metallica show that killed every act before them on the day.
From a photogs point of view I was curious who their new tour photog was?
We had the pleasure of Mr Dick Halfin with us in the pit for the first three, but I spied another guy (check the last shot here) up on stage with Lars?
Has Mr Halfin finally been booted?
