Perhaps it was the performances by Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! and then Hungry Kids Of Hungary before her that sapped my attention, but something about this show by Bertie Blackman didn’t click with me. The lighting was really good, yet I couldn’t seem to frame a decent shot that gave justice to it!
She was doing her thing, which ranged from at times sounding like PJ Harvey, and at other times Prince (??!) yet there was something that just didn’t click with me. Would like to see her again to see what that is.
