The guys from The Vampirates had seen my live shots of them opening for Mammal earlier this year and booked me for some promo shots.
I sussed out a location I thought would be suited to their style: a dirt alleyway with corrugated fencing with random graffiti and we were in business.
Lighting on these was via three speedlites (the one on camera used to trigger two off camera) shot through umbrellas. Nothing fancy, but effective with the bouncing from the corrugated iron.
Sadly, not long after the shoot, there was a lineup change and so these photos cannot be used without some major photoshopping.
