Cold Chisel @ Entertainment Centre, November ’11
Incredible stage lighting for such an iconic Australian (Adelaide even!) band made this show from Cold Chisel an absolute pleasure to photograph.
Stage designers, lighting engineers – this is how you design and light a rock show!!

Really stunning shots in all galleries!
The colour, clarity, DOF are all excellent, I’m very envious!
Love the fisheye pix. Is that the 15mm?
Thanks Anna
Yep, those fisheye ones were shot with the Canon f/2.8 15mm fishy
I have one of those as well but I can’t seem to get that roundness that you do on my 5D MKII but it really saves me during small gigs where I can fit everyone on stage and love it on festival crowd shots.
Just another question, I usually shoot at ISO 1600 and try not to shoot above that but I was talking to a photographer who shoots at 2500 with higher f-stops with amazing results. Is that what you do? I find my shots are too grainy. I use Canon gear with L-series lenses as well.
Cheers
The fishy is tricky to get full roundness – it’s all about the angle to your subject – you can actually get 100% flat horizons if you angle it correctly!
Yeah I shoot ISO of 1600 on my 5D and 3200 on the 5Dmkii with no problems
